Hillary Swank dons her tightest tee shirt and heads to the small town of Haven that seems to be undergoing the ten biblical plagues. The river has turned to blood, it's raining frogs, and cattle are dying. Nope, it's fair to say that things aren't going at all well for the inhabitants of Haven and they all seem to be such God fearing people as well. Swank's character, an ex-missionary named Katherine Winter, is an expert at debunking phenomena like this and she fully expects to find a rational explanation, but that would take a miracle in itself because there are some things that science will never be able to explain.

This one is okay. Not great, but okay. If it's a rainy day and you have nothing better to do, go for it

Has anybody else been watching The River? I've seen the last 2 episodes and I think it's a decent horror show. It's definitely not my favorite but I like the premise and the cast so far.

Well this is the last horror movie that I have seen so far. I am about to start watching something else soon, but I actually liked this movie. This one was really scary and very weird to watch lol. Me and my husband watched it and we thought that the whole story and everything was great and on top of that I did jump a few times.

I would recommend this movie to you if you have not seen it.

This one's has a familiar setup. It's about writer who has a block and retreats to a remote country house to try and regain her lost inspiration. Then her Personal Assistant shows up and begins to take over. She also turns out to be a dab-hand at killing people who get in her way.

This one was directed by former Spandau Ballet star Marting Kemp. It's okay, but it is a little slow moving for my tastes.

Hey I just realized we don't have a Johnny Depp thread, so I am starting one. Right here, right now. His first ever appearance was in A Nightmare on Elm Street, for Christ's sakes, so the guy deserves a thread of his own. And just look at some of the horror movies he's done since Freddy turned him into gut stew:

Yeech! Stinker Warning. Stinker warning. This is a stinker warning...

A team of paranormal investigators go to an old asylum to film their 50th episode and get asses kicked.

I watched this one in two sittings. My wife watched the first 40 minutes or so (with plenty of sighing) then refused to watch any more. I hoped that it might get better so I watched the rest of it on my own the following evening. It didn't get better it got worse. It's as if it's trying to be a found footage-type film, but too many cameras are involved so it never quite makes it. Very unlikable characters as well.

Can you help me figure out the title of a book I read once? It was by Dean Koontz (I think), and the characters were overcome and debased by this cloud of bees or bee-like creatures.

My memory of it is very foggy, and I've looked for it for a long time, but I never found it.

Supernatural has evolved a lot in the last couple seasons. I am really liking all the latest twists and turns with the Leviathon, Amazon women and such. I was starting to get bored with the same old monsters over and over again so this is fantastic.

Anyone saw this movie? Whats your take?

When I first saw Paranormal Activity 1, it gave me goosebumps, I am particularly scared of ghosts and the movie gave one hell of a ghost character. I had several sleepless nights after watching this, seriously

SO for those who wants to see this movie, do not watch this alone.

I feel as though I have read every horror book in my local library. I have been through all the usual authors, classic and recent, from Lovecraft to King and I'm now stuck reading crime thrillers, so please, someone, recommend a new book!

Anybody see this one? It's about a guy who goes out hunting and finds a grave in the woods. He digs it up and inadvertently resurrects a monster. From then on in it goes on a killing spree and keeps bringing him body parts as gifts.

The acting is pretty dreadful. It's so wooden that you half expect to see splinters flying out of the actor's mouths. One word: Stinker.

Alice Madness Returns

Have you played Alice madness returns? This is a nice little horror game that I love playing. I have played it on PC and now I am gonna get it for the ps3.

A little background they just took Alice and wonderland and changed it into a horror game where she is getting revenge and the characters are helping her along the way. I do not want to give away too much especially if you have not played it yet. Try it out and see if you like it. Here is a trailer for the game as well.
